PERMANENT TEETH AND MILK TEETH, WHAT EVERY PARENT NEEDS TO KNOW

PERMANENT TEETH AND MILK TEETH, WHAT EVERY PARENT NEEDS TO KNOW

Babies are born with no teeth but when they get to 3 they will already have 20 milk teeth.

Permanent teeth start to appear at 6 and the first ones are the molars which very frequently are confused with milk teeth. But these teeth are very important and need to be regularly controlled because they have to last for life. These molars that emerge at the age of 6 also help to define the lower part of the face shape, affect the position and health of all the other permanent teeth in the mouth.

Up to the age of 13 milk teeth will fall and be replaced by the permanent ones. It’s very important during these years to have clean and healthy teeth, so regular dental check ups are essential.

Here at Zen Smile Spa we know that watching your child go through dental treatment is painstaking but with Dr. Carla Borrell, our in-house paedodontist, who specializes in children, their visit to the dentist becomes a walk in the park
